This year’s stewardship theme is Values. Last spring we introduced the five focused values of Trinity. We will spend the next three Sundays, September 30, October 7 and 14, diving deeper into how these values are lived out in our lives of giving. Each Sunday Tyg will give us some background on the value and how the scripture lesson welcomes us into this generous life. Missie, Irv Halter, and Sandy will join Tyg as they share conversationally the value of how “The Sound of Stories” comes to bear when we press into a life of giving in these values.

If you are an active Trinity worshipper you will receive a pledge covenant for the 2019 financial giving year. This pledge covenant will be mailed on October 10 th and you are asked to bring it to worship on one of our Commitment Sundays, either on October 21 or 28, or mail it to the office by the end of October. Last year 155 pledges were received.

This year’s pledge covenant also includes a pledge for the parking lot
re-pavement project. This will be separate from the 2019 budgeted pledge amount. The line item will simply be stated as:
I/we pledge _________ to the parking lot fund to be given by April 15, 2019.

After much consideration and the involvement of local expertise, the Congregational Council is moving forward with a plan to raise $100,000 and use $50,000 of capital reserve for this project. We currently have received $17,000 and the project will most likely be completed by the spring of 2019.

The ministry and life of Trinity has been blessed by generous, committed giving for years. We have always partnered together to accomplish much. Everyone understands the joy of the parking lot project isn’t glamorous or even all that interesting, but after 20 plus years it is a necessary process that we hope will last us for the next 20 years. Thank you for your consideration of joining our funds together to make this project come to completion.

We look forward to inspiring messages and a celebration of gratitude and generosity that has been a hallmark of the way the Spirit has led us to live these beautiful lives of giving.
