LENT 2019

Lent begins Wednesday, March 6. Join us at 6:30pm for our Ash Wednesday service. As you enter the sanctuary, please come forward to receive the imposition of ashes in the chancel area before being seated.

Our theme for this year’s Lenten journey is “The Road First Traveled.”

As we follow in Christ’s footsteps, we can learn from His example of what it is to be disciplined in the discipleship “signposts” of witness, prayer, worship, service and sacrifice. Every Sunday we will dig into the teachings of Jesus and how He modeled the way we are to walk “the road.”

On Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, we will use a simple Lenten liturgy, some stations for prayers and deeper reflection and recent stories of Jesus in action in our lives. There is no Wednesday evening worship on April 17.

Members of the Open Hearts, Open Hands Missional Community will be staffing the prayer room on Sunday mornings during Lent and offering leadership for prayer/anointing stations on Wednesday nights.
